***Got lost for the last week. Packed up and went North. Met a man camping next to a river, who drove up quietly, parked, set up a chair, read a book and went to sleep. When we awoke, we shared some words, he was very kind and sharp. As we spoke he told me "I tend to be a very complicated person, so I didn't pack a thing and just started driving north to clear my mind". I love that candid, open exchange that presented it's self, it made me want to share with strangers a bit more. Thanks for your insight amigo... Photos coming soon.

**And with the new year comes a big victory for our inshore seas. With 13% of the worlds land protected and less than .05% of the oceans gaining the same status, the new MPA zones create 36 areas, encompassing about 187 square miles of state waters (~8% of the South Coast), with about 5% designated as fully-protected no-take areas. In short, this is a big victory for our coast lines and allows these areas the ability to flourish with out continued persecution.
