A TWEAKED AUSTRIAN TOWN

There’s a town called “Fucking” about 25-30 km from Salzburg, Austria.

****Basically this album is worth it's wait in gold. Especially the track Lovely Day. So do your self a favour buy that track, listen, enjoy. Pure happy life passion. Once you get a feel for the chorus try and sing along with the 1 Lovely Day lyric he holds forever. It's fun. OK. Ciao

RANDOM CHILEAN ART

***Last summer I traveled with a group of surfers and activists across Chile. Along our journey we were lucky enough to be allowed to paint a whale a day to protest the slaughter of Cetaceans around the world, in various town's across the country. I've never experienced such a bright and art driven culture. This photos above is from a random down day in Santiago. That's Rasta plucking the strings.

****Hands down some of my favorite street art I've ever seen. It's amazing because street artist are not treated like criminals, instead their skills are praised.

****This is a snapshot from a project J.Curren and I worked on last year. As expected Tom delivers when it's time to rain down charisma. The best part of this shot was setting up all these boards, it was a full on work-out.

SPARKY IS BACKING THE NEW RAEN SHADES

***The Mattson 2 passed on some cool Raen shades and as expected, Blair and Sparky have already snatched them. Spark is going for the whole Ray Charles deal, so he can rock an epic Halloween costume.

***Homcy is an absolute rock start behind a 16mm. He's also one hell of a good guy, funny and super into ethic spicy foods. Been on a few missions with him now and these are two images I remember seeing alot of. Camera and crack.

HERMOSA "PRESNT" FESTIVITIES

***Aussie Alaia stud Matt Williams, J.Wegener, J.Mattson, Oliver & Megan, A. Gray, Dork-face, Micah Mattson. Enjoying the gathering.

***Jared's sound strings check was amazing, then Jonathan stepped in & it was superb.

***Micah has run the entire US tour and bye golly he deserves a beer.

***Here's the tour van. From my understanding it's driven 13,000 miles around the US. Rocked 38 shows and got shot at on the US/Mexico border. The brothers Mattson did it all in fine style.

GREAT WHITE STATION FIRE

***I'm behind the ball on this story, but our bud Micah informed me the other night about the tragic club fire started by 80's rock bank Great White. From what I gathered, the fire was started when their tour manager shot fireworks off in a small Rhode Island night club, which then ignited foam insulation in the walls and the place ignited like a Christmas tree. It's considered the 3rd worst venue fire in US history, with 100 dead and 200 + injured. A crazy and extremely sad event for anyone involved. The album cover above is their debut album. Image seems weird.

TIM STAMPS IS DAY-DREAMING

***Timmy was reading the blog and said the slab photo made him start day dreaming and the closest inspiration was this perfectly shaped sandpaper wedger in his shaping bay. Keep up the good work senior.

***A good friend passed this video along the other week. Not only does the song bring up great memories of my childhood and one of my favorite movies, but I know have a whole new respect fro the song and connection of bring gifted people together. RANDOM EXPERIMENTATIONS

Blair and I decided that the best place in the world to spot yellow cars could be the 2 hour stretch of road between LA and SD. So we kept our eyes peeled and spotted, 26 of these strange breeds putting along.

In a 2 way tie for 1st was
3 Hummers
3 FJ Cruisers
Followed closely by a 2 way tie with
2Jeeps
and my least favorite car in the world the Mustang.

Anyways, just a random Mothers day experiment to pass the time.

THE PRESENT- ADDED TOUR DATES

***Just about to leave for the festivities up north at the recently added Hermosa show. Should be a good time, pretty sure that J.Wegener is raffling off an Alaia. OOMPA LOOMPA

****Oh, well, then you know all about it and what a terrible country it is. Nothing but desolate wastes and fierce beasts. And the poor little Oompa Loompas were so small and helpless, they would get gobbled up right and left. A Wangdoodle would eat ten of them for breakfast and think nothing of it. And so, I said, "Come and live with me in peace and safety, away from all the Wangdoodles, and Hornswogglers, and Snozzwangers, and rotten, Vermicious Knids."

YOGA NO NO"S

****More often than not, Yoga classes in San Diego leaves me question's people mental state.
Here's a quick list of pet peeves I've formed from fellow Yogi's.
1. Yoga is not a place to show off your new bolt on's.
2. No Make up in Yoga please.
3. Grunting doesn't make you stretch further.
4. Speedo's and Yoga do not mix. It's just not fair.
5. Trying to out do everyone in class isn't the true spirit.
6. Putting an Um symbol on your Porsche doesn't make you spiritual.
Besides that, farts, sweating, stinky pits and head stands are fair game. Namaste.
