GIANT STINGRAYS TAKE OVER THE WORLD

***There have been a unusual amount of stingrays cruising the shores lately this summer, so watch out. Imagine if all of them were this big and teamed up with Aliens giving them the powers to eat people, fly, and shoot killer lazor beams from their eye's. All these dudes would be fried.

TASMANIAN TIGER EXTINCT?

***I just found out about the Tasmanian Tiger on my last trip. This is a photo of the last captive animal in the Hobart Zoo, 1934.
Like any good community, Tasmanian council paid their citizens a few pounds per animal to kill all these amazing creatures, in order to make way for more livestock. Although they are considered extinct, there have been multiple sightings of this striped dog and many people believe there is a small community of them still flourishing in remotes parts of the bush.

D-STREET LAST WEEKEND

***Still not sure what's so attractive about D-Street. Is it the massive amount of beach-goers, sewage that drains on the North end or agro grom shredders? The only thing I can think of is ........convenient parking.

TRAITOR JOE"S SELLING RED-LIST FISH

1. The Infamous Chilean Seabass. Projected to be completely wiped out within the next 5 years. Don't buy it.....
2. The rad little Orange Roughy, lives in deep water along the bottom. Best method for catching it is with a bottom trowler, which roughly equates to clear cutting the sea.
****Just received an email from a friend at Greenpeace. Seems as thought the folks at Trader Joe's aren't respecting our seas and that's a damn shame. It's a bummer that such a large market chain would continue to stock 2 variety of red-list endangered species, 1. Chilean Seabass and the Orange Roughy. So take a moment and sign this little petition that is being sent to the stores higher ups so we can try and say the remaining populations of these amazing sea creatures. Many thanks,

BLACKS BY GLASER

***Todd and I had an epic day in the sea. Waves were absolutely smoking this day but the crowd was thicker than a 5mm in the summer. As we reflected on our session, a flurry of sets imploded wave after wave, as we chatted Todd snapped a few and low and behold, magic....

SPIRIT OF DORA LIVES

***Epic mag cover.

CURREN VS. OCCY - TONIGHT @ 10:15pm

****O.K, this battle @ J-Bay is the equivalent to a Ali Fraser rematch. Let's just hope that Curren's got a gem of a sled and does what he does so well.
If your at all sane you will be logged onto the Billabong Pro (then go under Live) site tonight and watch these two legends rip into some rights. As far as favorites, this recent image of Curren at Supertubes made my day.

KILLED A GOPHER

***Thinking of getting it stuffed for the mantel.

****I know I seem a bit hypocrytical after all the save the whales/dolphin info, vegetarian,
lovemaker stuff, but I have acquired a bad taste for the Gophers that have destroyed our wonderful garden this summer. I've tried many a technique to rid these ground dwelling rodents from our property and in the end it was the handy work of an old speargun that did the trick. Sure PETA would be very upset with my actions, but rest a sure it was a swift and immediate death for this little root munching feller. Anyways, now it's time to sip some warm beer and play the banjo... YYYEEEEEHHAAAAA.>.

NEW STAMPS

***Been hearing alot about Stamps newest board model the "Flare" and for good reason, rode it this morning as a quad and the thing went bananas. Really fast with ultra-violet sharp turns. This one is 5'8 by 20 and sweet. Thanks Timmy.

DAY AT THE BU

***Epic evening conditions were enjoyed by all.
***A few kookbox's, a Bing or 2, 1 Alaia and the one and only Richard Kenvin post up on the infamous Malibu wall.
***Forget this dudes name but he was hanging in our space camp and turned out to be a professional juggler, who wasn't afraid to put on a show or teach us his secrets.
****A might fine wave and a radically mixed bag of humans and activity on the sand.

SPARK DOG IN ACTION

***Still amazed at what a blind dog is capable of. We have designed this hard plastic ball with a bell inside it so he can still play ball in the back yard. Blair snapped this great shot of our great dog.

SLEEPRUNNING DOG

SHITHOUSE MARKETING

***Wait a second Mavericks is in Fiji, so does that mean I should pack the 5mm and Rhino Chaser for my next mission to Restaurants? Come on Air Pacific, do a little homework.... 10 pt deduction and I'm definitely not paying board fee's for this blatant case of false advertising.

MAD GROM STYLE

***Little Hosoi shredding the bowl. Love seeing groms with such rad steeze.

BUSTED A GIANT JESUS

***Not sure what got over me today, but took some time in the sand to power this piece out, thinking it's a good new direction for my artistic endeavors.

NIGHT SURFING DREAM SCENE

***I've always had a crazy dream of doing this with a dub DJ spinning for me and a small crew of friends. One day it might eveolve.
