WE LOVE TRAVIS MEADOR "aka... LIL BUD"

*** This is a funny way to show your appreciation for someone, but thats how our relationship has formed, the more we belittle each other the closer we become.. All jokes aside this kid is destined for greatness, he's a first rate actor and one hell of a musician.. Don't have his website but sure he's on that facebook thing....

FRENCH ALPS ENTRY TO PISA, ITALY

SALINAS SURF

SALINAS SURF FESTIVAL

***The waves treated us so well. First 3 days were overhead and offshore. Left and right peak and loads of surf insanity went down.....
**Classic group of 12 year olds. So classic. The spanish were so welcoming and have such big hearts. We made some great friends and I cant wait to return soon.
**Colin, Brandon, Robin and I made this piece for the Ewan crew which will be auctioned off to benefit a children's hospital. It was a live painting which made it really fun and exciting..
**Without a doubt the best surf festival I've seen. 3 days, full of music, surf, shapers and good vibes. Really great experience and super old world special.

ESPANIA

***Our crew exploded in Spain like a firecracker...

*** Can't tell you how many Jesus calls I've received this trip, even had old ladies stop dead in there tracks and sign the cross across their chest... Funny stuff.
**First morning wake up after a cosmic farm sleep under the full moon. So amazing. Super fun log jam with good friends. Really reminded me of New Zealand.
**The scene of the crime. We set up tents and did group yoga under the moon. Our amazing friend Ignacio and his brother hooked us up with is farm land to sleep on which was amazing. After seeing the zone I slept under the stars and tripped out on the stars all night. So powerful. What a great first night in Spain.

VIVA LA FRANCE

Apologies for the slack entry's as of late. Been far from internet usage and absolutely engulfed in the moment... Currently in Italy loving life. I'll do my best to catch up with the happenings.. If you are reading this I'm sending love and light as usual... 111

***Biarritz swimming hole... Low tide escape from the madness. Just around the corner form nowhere... Super beauty
***Lonely wandering hole. So needed this nature. Smelled like fertility maximus
**Colin and I scoped a great bodysurf wedge and than bathed in the madness of the Grand Plage. Thousands of cultures mixing in a twist of beach towels, umbrellas and noise. Strangely enough I felt so calm this day. Loved the buzz.
***This day was extra special, spent it with scout, and a amigo scoping old WW2 war barracks left by the Nazi's. They litter the beach's of France and Colin loves him some war story. This particular spot was incredible because you could still go inside all the rooms, open steal doors, experience the vantage points and ultimitley be in the darkness as well as heaviness of the locations. Over the course of hanging with Colin he gifted me with such great info on world history and how the world has weaved its way around such incredible actions of the past. To say the least I learned more in a few weeks than my entire high school experience.
***Scoped this from a far. As legend has it the house tucked just behind the dunes is haunted and something about this creeped me out as well... Overall France was magic. Lots of classic sights, smells and experiences I will not soon forget.

THE ONLY OTHER BEARDED MAN IN FRANCE.

CELEBRATE

***Late celebration to the French independence day.. What an event, literally shooting fireworks over thousands of people, half pleasure and half worried about copping a cracker in the face... Amazing day of adventuring.

Core 'S' Air Surf Shop

***Big thanks to the Core 'S' Air surf shop for taking such good care of me... Rewrote my thoughts about the French... If you have a chance to check the shop out its well worth the trek to Saint Jean De Luz. One of the best selection in boards I've seen in ages.

VIVE NATURLISTE

***Apologies for slack blog zone... Been on the road in Spain and basically internet free... Which is always a treat. I'll do my best to catch up on the adventures... To start off, I'll highlight the nude surf fest we had in Montalivet... Here is a shot of the bike lot at the beach....

**This was a incognito look the other way and shot photo, since it was illegal to take photos... Well guess you can say I got more than I was expecting from the shot, but the graffiti was amazing...

***Our amigo Thomas runs a few surf schols in the area and one is in the nudist camp. Raddest part was that his dad runs it butt naked.. So classic. Got totally in the spirit and jammed a 2 hour session in front of thousands of natural beach goers. When Colin and I came in, two French came and informed us we were the first people they had seen in 15 years surf naked... Classic......

BEST FRITES IN THE WORLD

MORNING MARKET CREATURE

***Introduced Colin to the Montalivet morning market. After some Morrocco Mint tea, this incredible beast crossed my path. Wisdom and love calm as the nights sky.

TRAVEL NORTH

***Last minute decision to re-visit our friends at Spyder surf up North... Hopped the morning train and blissed out to some Fat Freddy's drop and sketch book goodness. As we approached the Bayonne station the train suddenly hit the brakes and thud... The moment felt weird and the cabin went along its business, we stopped a few minutes later at the central station and we informed by some Danish tourist that some one had jumped in front of the tracks and took their life's. Here is Colin and I passing the time while they cleaned up the scene and got the train back running towards Bordeaux... A great reminder to live each day to the fullest.

****Exiting the Bordeaux train station... A truly enchanted village.

***Mid transit tree scape.
