Dry rock tubes show the age when these inland plains were seafloor dwellings. 4x4 conquest deep into the heart of wilderness, floating on faith and good karma, the Tundra was finally named Lupita and after getting us through this waterfall, box canyon descent our motto quickly became "viva Lupita". The road into the sand dunes was straight out of the twilight zone, in fact the entire trip shared that strange brew... More to come

*** Our departure was swift, we headed North East, decided against the GPS, instead trusted in topo maps and hand drawn routes from a neighbor. As we entered the National Park, every corner brought something to appreciate, the sun led us into the valley and the dark set quickly, we got lost and found. Hot springs are the best at the end of a long days drive, we all slept like babies in the cool canyon breeze amidst the massive mountains and valleys...
