PATAGONIA ART SHOW THIS WEEKEND
*Just got back form a great trip to Australia to work on a first hand for Fuel TV.... As always cosmic adventures a plenty and some amazing waves along the way. Right back into the swing of things with a group show at the Patagonia Headquarters this Saturday. Should be loads of fun. Anyways, come on out if you please.

HELP SIGN THE PETITION TO STOP THE PROPOSED CONTEST AT SWAMIS

It has come to our attention that a professional womens longboard contest is being proposed for Swamis. We think it is a bad idea, sets a bad precedent, and is unneeded, unwanted, and unsafe. There are plenty of other locations county wide including Cardiff, Oceanside, LJ Shores and Ocean Beach where contests are run. There has never been a contest at Swamis (well one way back in '67). The Swamis Surf Club makes sure they never run their contest at Swamis. Why? Because Swamis locals and visitors alike do not want one. A pro surfing contest does nothing for community surfers, does not benefit the city of Encinitas local surfers or make sense for the aesthetic and vibe of the wonderfully peaceful Self Realization Fellowship. BEST DOCUMENTARY ----THE COVE------
****Well isn't the world working just as it's supposed to. The Cove is one of the most powerful documentary's many of us have ever seen. The S4C team have been on the ground floor since it's inception and watched this master piece evolve. As it evolved it touched and ignited the hearts of people around the world to do something and last night at the Oscars it took home best documentary. WWWOOOOOOOHHHHHOOOOOWWWWW. In typical Rick O'Berry style he took his couple of seconds on stage to hoist a banner for people to take action, efficiently causing the music to roll, their speeches to come to a halt and them to be politely ushered off stage. All time. Today is a good day.

***My Mom loves taking photos and sharing them with me. Every time I receive them I feel gratitude for having such an amazing family to share my life with. My Mother is the rock, grounded, supportive of her loved one's and such an incredible healer in so many ways. My Dad Len is the man, he's consistent, funny, has the work ethic of a racehorse and would do anything for his family at any time no questions asked. Last but not least my 11 year old little sister Cassidy is our families pride and joy. She is sweet, understanding, creative and so wise beyond her years. In so many ways I am taught by the purity of her being and her ability to grow so gracefully. I can't forget Oreo, the ball crazy madman always ready to buggy and steal a face lick when you least expect it. I am a lucky man.
